⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Loved it! A must-own book.
From the first page, Wild Bond by Laurie Ford soars with sharp writing, immersive world-building, and a heroine you can’t help but root for. And I’m just going to say it…it’s better than Fourth Wing. Read by Wild Bond book review below to find out why.
Summary:
A thief who becomes a dragon rider…
After surviving two years in the castle dungeons for a crime she didn’t exactly commit, a stroke of luck allows Corrine Darrow a second chance at freedom. During the Bonding Celebrations—the one time each year when wild dragons find their riders—Rin is given the opportunity to petition her case. But her hopes are quickly dashed when she is brought before the queen’s ruthless spymaster—the very dragon rider who captured her in the first place.
When Rake’s intense gaze locks on her once more, Rin is sure he will send her back to her cell. But before her future can be decided, fate intercedes. Now, Rin must train to become a dragon rider, one of the fierce warriors who protect her world. That won’t be easy with Rin’s thieving reputation, the fellow trainees that mistrust her, and the fiery attraction she feels towards a man she should despise.
📖 What’s Inside:
- 🐉 Dragon riders
- Enemies to lovers
- “Touch her and die” vibes
- Political intrigue
- Training grounds
- 🔥Slow-burn tension
- On-page intimacy 🔴
- Found family
- Debut novel magic ✨
✨ Vibes:
Fourth Wing meets Eragon but with more sass, sparks, and sky-high stakes.
💭 My Thoughts:
Wild Bond is a wild ride that left me breathless! The chemistry between Rake and Rin crackles off the page, and the world of dragon riders is as immersive as it is original. I loved the twist of an imprisoned thief suddenly becoming bonded to a dragon and instantly flipping her from outcast to elite. Watching Rin navigate this new life, from flying lessons to political pitfalls (and a certain brooding instructor), was pure fantasy fun.
Laurie Ford nailed it with her debut. The mystery, the tension, the world-building, it all layers together perfectly. If you love fantasy romance that balances heart-pounding action with emotional pull, add this one to your TBR stat.
Should you add Wild Bond to your TBR?
Yes. If you want a fast-paced dragon rider fantasy with romance that sizzles, Wild Bond absolutely delivers.
