Book Boyfriend Meter: ❤️

🖤And if you love to rank book boyfriends…. then you will want to download my free Morally Grey Book Boyfriend Starter Pack with a printable scorecard and individual character cards to track your favorite book boyfriends.

✨ Vibes:

❄️ Frozen but only for the setting and magic and very not kid-friendly 🤭
🗡️ The Lord of the Rings epic fantasy scale and battles
🔥 A Court of Silver Flames holiday vibes + spice

Basically: winter magic + epic war + romance chaos.

💭 My Thoughts:

First things first—

Huge thank you to the authors for the eARC. This book was one of my most anticipated reads of 2026. You already know I keep it honest around here… and lucky for everyone, I have zero complaints about loving this book.

Because listen.

This is one of my all-time favorite series.

So yes, I might be a tiny bit biased… but also?

It’s just that good.

Diving back into The Beasts of the Briar series felt like reconnecting with old friends. Even the opening chapter — which is basically a full-on recap — had me grinning like, “Tell me everything I missed.”

And from there?

The story just expands. This book feels epic in every sense of the word.

The action scenes were so cinematic I could literally see them playing out like The Rings of Power in my head — dramatic, sweeping, and packed with tension.

Now let’s talk characters.

This book really leans into the Winter Prince’s story… and tbh, I’ve had a GRUDGE.

While we do get more context here — more insight, more backstory, more understanding…

I’m not fully convinced.

Like yes, I get it.

But also?

You could’ve done better, sir.

There’s some growth, some clarity… but I didn’t fully feel the redemption. He’s still very much holding onto his patterns, and I needed a little more from him.

That said…

Would I still date him?

Obviously.

“I can fix him” energy remains strong. 😌

BUT—can we talk about the real surprise here?

Ezryn.

Babes.

This man came out of nowhere and said, “Move over Cas, I’m entering the leaderboard.”

And all I can say is…

Now something I don’t think gets talked about enough in this series is the romance beyond the FMC.

Yes, it’s a why choose story. But it’s also so much more than that. The relationships between the princes themselves? The history, the tension, the second-chance feelings? It adds this whole extra layer that makes the series feel deeply romance-forward in a way that stands out.

It’s not just one love story.

It’s many.

And I loved that.

Now… the spice.

I won’t sugar coat it.

It’s spicy spicy.

More than previous books.

Does it slow the pacing a bit?

Yeah.

Did I care?

Not even a little.

Because while there are definitely a lot of moments, they still feel connected to the relationships and the emotional arcs.

And then…

THE ENDING.

Chills.

Actual chills.

Not just because of the winter setting — but because that final display of magic and power??

Insane.

Easily one of the most epic moments in the entire series.

📚Read Alikes:

• A Court of Silver Flames — winter holidays, epic journeys, and spice.
• A Game of Veils — why choose, enemies to lovers and morally grey men.
• Of Blades and Wings — viking fae, norse mythology and a war college setting.

Should you add Frozen by Stardust to your TBR?

At this point? You’re insane if you don’t.

Just keeping it real.
